Community organizations 2004 - 2010 --- in 2011 year as a full-time member of "Symphonicity" (the Symphony Orchestra of Virginia Beach, a community volunteer orchestra, David Kunkel, director), rehearsing & performing with the full orchestra, as well as the Symphonicity Quartet, a string quartet drawn from the orchestra membership. The orchestra performs from ten to thirteen concerts annually, including Lollipop concerts for schools, and remote performances in Suffolk, Newport News, and the Eastern Shore. There are also free summer concerts for the Fourth of July, and the 24th Street Band Shell.

Tidewater Area Macintosh User Group --- My participation has included preparation of presentations to help people learn to use the Macintosh and its tools to edit digitized movies and audio, and to create DVDs from their own materials. Membership in TARMAC is open to anyone with an interest in Macintosh computers.
Tidewater Arts Outreach from 2007---- Performing occasionally with the Celtic band "Leigheas" I've played for audiences at convalescent and retirement communities, including concerts arranged through the offices of TAO. I've also done volunteer performances with the BeachTones, a volunteer Senior singing group.
